Biologist • Nature Conservationist • Burrenbeo Plan for Nature Lead
Dr Sharon Parr is a biologist with a lifelong interest in Nature. After a previous life as a veterinary parasitologist she spent 17 years working as Brendan Dunford’s sidekick on the BurrenLIFE Project and Burren Programme.
With extensive experience in field ecology and veterinary parasitology, she has spent nearly two decades on the ground in the Burren, co-managing research, habitat assessments, and results-based conservation systems that support both farming and wildlife.
Recently, she has helped Burrenbeo to develop and deliver the Plan for Nature aspect of the Hare’s Corner initiative, through which she hopes to inspire people to see what is around them and motivate them to do something for nature, however small.
