Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich (Brendan Begley) is a renowned traditional musician from Baile na bPoc on the Dingle Peninsula, celebrated for his lively accordion playing and charismatic presence.
Raised in a deeply musical family in the Kerry Gaeltacht, Brendan’s work is rooted in Irish language, storytelling and the traditions of rural Ireland. Over the years, he has collaborated with many leading traditional musicians and performed internationally.
Beyond performing, Brendan has played an important role as a teacher, storyteller and ambassador for Irish culture.His memoir Clann na Seanamhuíntire / Of My People reflects on a life dedicated to music, heritage and community.
