Ella McSweeney is an Irish food and farming journalist and reporter. She has worked for the BBC, RTÉ and the Guardian newspaper.

Ella has a keen interest in farming and rural matters, having presented RTÉ’s award-winning food and farming series Ear to the Ground since 2008. She is also a regular reporter and presenter on RTÉ’s radio programme, Countrywide.
Background & Studies
She graduated from Zoology at Trinity College, Dublin and is a postgraduate student in food policy at City University, London. Received the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from Listowel Food Fair and Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the year in 2001.
