Dr. Emma Hart is a conservation ecologist, author, and founder of Habitats, a consultancy working at the intersection of nature restoration, policy, and practice. She advises organisations across Ireland and the EU on biodiversity strategy, regenerative agriculture, rewilding, nature finance, and restoration delivery. 

Strategic Advisory & Practical Restoration

Emma seamlessly combines strategic advisory work with practical, on-the-ground restoration experience. She is the founder of the Oysterhaven Biodiversity Reserve, a 50-acre reserve and research site in south-west Ireland dedicated to demonstrating and studying ecosystem recovery.

Collaboration & The FFN Handbook

Since 2022, Emma has collaborated closely with Farming for Nature on a wide range of initiatives. Notably, she is the lead author of the Farming for Nature Handbook, a vital resource designed to guide and support nature-friendly farming practices across the country.
