Arable Tillage Farmer • Regenerative Innovator
Tommy Tierney is farming about 1100 acres of arable land near Cahir in Tipperary. He has been farming regeneratively since about 2018 and stopped ploughing in 2012.
Soil Health & Input Reduction
He has cut synthetic fertilisers and pesticides by half by improving soil health, implementing better rotation, utilizing homebrewed bio-fertilisers and foliars, and making compost.
BASE Soil Farmer of the Year
He is the BASE 2024 soil farmer of the year.
