About Katie
Dairy Farmer • Columnist • Content Creator
Katie Gleeson is a dairy farmer from Co. Tipperary, farming in partnership with her husband and family on a 100-cow, 7th generation dairy farm. A mature student at TUS, she is currently in her third year studying for B.Sc Agricultural Science and Sustainability.
Katie is also a columnist with the Tipperary Star newspaper and a content creator across social media platforms under @katieinthecountry, where she shares insights into farming and rural life.
Advocacy & Leadership in Dairy
She serves on the national steering committee of Dairy Women Ireland, and is a Farmer Ambassador with the National Dairy Council.
Climate & Community Programs
Katie has participated in the pioneering Community Climate Coaches programme in Tipperary and has been a farm ambassador with the Brookfield Farm Field Exchange programme in 2024 – 2025.
