Sean McGloin is the Network Manager of National Organic Training Skillnet (NOTS), based in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, where he leads Ireland’s national training network for the organic, biological and regenerative farming sectors.
Since taking up the role in 2007, Sean has developed and delivered training programmes supporting thousands of farmers, growers, processors and agri-food businesses annually. His work connects farming practice, skills development and agricultural policy through practical, farmer-focused education.
Sean is widely recognised as the driving force behind BioFarm, Ireland’s flagship conference for biological and regenerative farming. Under his leadership, the event has become an important forum for farmers, researchers and practitioners sharing knowledge around soil health, agroecology and climate resilience.
Qualifications & Sector Development
Sean has helped develop new educational pathways for the sector, including the Organic & Biological Green Cert and the MSc in Organic and Biological Farming with SETU Waterford. His background also includes work in rural development, fisheries management, renewable energy and environmental projects.
