Organic Dairy Farmer • Local Food Advocate • FFN Ambassador
Sinéad Moran is both a Farming For Nature Ambassador and a dairy farmer from Co. Mayo, where she and her partner Mick run a 40-acre farm celebrated for its rich biodiversity and nutrient dense produce. Milking a herd of traditional breed cows, Sinéad produces raw organic milk for direct sale, with its quality rooted in the diverse grasses and plants her animals graze.
The farm remains a high nature value landscape, never intensively managed, and features species-rich pastures, mature trees, hedgerows and a traditional orchard. Through thoughtful holistic grazing, Sinéad and Mick carefully protect this farmland ecosystem while producing nourishing food.
They are strongly committed to biodiversity, climate action and strengthening local food networks. Committed to education and outreach, they regularly open the farm to share knowledge and inspire others. Sinéad’s work highlights how small-scale farming can protect nature while sustaining communities.
As a Farming for Nature Ambassador, Sinéad champions soil health, biological farming, and biodiversity, highlighting the link between good farming and good food.
